Rose McGowan: Homewrecker?
Actress Rose McGowan is reportedly the reason that director Robert Rodriguez and his wife split after 16 years of marriage.

Allegedly McGowan and Rodriguez began an affair while on the set of their new movie Grindhouse last year that split up his marriage. Rodriguez and Elizabeth Avellan have been married for 16 years and have five children together. She even served as his co-producer on the movies Grindhouse, Sin City, From Dusk Til Dawn, Desperado, and Spy Kids. Sources say that it hit the fan last April when it was reported that the director and his leading lady were romantically involved. Page Six reported the affair and said that filming had to be shut down for a month while Rodriguez "recovered."
A source said of the romance, "It was the worst kept secret on the set. They were going off to his trailer, having meals together. Rose thought some of the crew were treating her differently, and the attitude was, like, well what do you expect when you’re [bleeping] the director?" It was reported that there was "an emotional volcano" when Avellan found out about the affair." As for the production being shut down a source at Dimension Films said, "The hiatus had nothing to do with Robert’s personal life."
Both Rodriguez and Avellan have said that their split was "amicable" and that they intend to raise their children – Rebel, Rocket, Rogue, Racer, and Rhiannon – together. They also have said that they will continue to remain partners in Troublemaker Studios. As for Rodriguez and McGowan, sources say that they are still seeing each other on the "down low." The two reportedly showed up at the Los Angeles premier of the movie in the same limo but "they got out separately several minutes apart to avoid being seen together." The two met in Cannes in 2005, but there has been no word as to how long they have actually been involved.
