Metal roofing is durable and has a long life of about 50 years. There are only two major drawbacks of using metal roofing. Wooden shingles are easy to install and repair. Wooden shingles are long lasting, if they are maintained well. The demerits of the wooden roofing material are its cost and professional installation. Slate Roofing Materials
Slate roofing material is well known for long lasting and durable nature. Slate roofs are extremely heavyweight and expensive for installation. Although, the slate roofing material have a high cost, they last for a lifetime.
Tile Roofing
Tile roofing are available in a variety of colors and styles. They are attractive yet durable. Durability comes with the cost of high and regular maintenance. The tile roofing is heavy yet fragile and walking on this type of roofs can break the tiles.
Engineered Roofing Materials
The engineered roofing material is lightweight and long lasting. They are attractive (available in different colors) and cost effective. The only drawback is that this roofing material type is not known to everybody.
Concrete Roofing
Concrete roofing is available in different shapes and colors and is extremely durable. It requires low maintenance and are relatively lightweight. Concrete roofing can be expensive as compared to other roofing types.
