Have you ever been to Rome?
Rome, a city of history and nightlife, perfect for the young and the elderly people as well.
Have you ever been to Rome? The eternal city is an amazing piece of living history and can offer you an incredible experience, no matter if you are 16 or 70 years old.
Visiting the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Navona and the Spanish Steps will give you emotions you won't forget. You will be able to picture yourself the antique Romans in there-and learn a lot about this ancient population, how they used to live, the incredible things they built, and grab a bit of the past wich still lives in everyone's culture.
In Rome there are so many churches, monuments, ancient ruins to see that a lifetime could be not enough to see them all! This is why thousands of tourists of all ages come everyday in the Eternal city everyday, from all over the world.
When in Rome, you will have so many things to do both during the day and at night. Planning your vacation day by day can be very useful - on the internet you can find many useful travel guides but don't miss the point: it is very important to choose the right area of the city to stay.
If you are young (or just still feel like!) you will love the Roman nightlife as well: in some areas like Trastevere, Campo de Fiori, Piazza Navona, you can safely walk at night and meet lots of locals and tourists to hang around.
Small clubs and pubs populate the area: Anima (R n B music), Maison (rnb and dance music), Bloom (rnb and house music), Supperclub (very elegant club / restaurant, black and house music).
In the area of Testaccio there are lots of clubs, pubs and discos where you'll find mainly hip hop / rnb music, house music and some techno.
One of the best clubs in this area, GOA, is famous all over the world for it's wonderful sound system. You won't forget the experience if you like serious clubbing, but the area of Testaccio is less ideal for tourists: it's not very close to the historical center, and not 100% safe at night.
If you love the nightlife, choose Trastevere. There are not many hotels in this area , but there are lots of vacation rental apartments in Rome, that can be cheaper than conventional hotel accommodation and very comfortable.
Campo de Fiori is also awesome: very safe, many cool pubs, and lots of people walking around, both locals and tourists (especially Americans), even at night.
If you don't care too much about nightlife you can save some money staying in safe residential areas such as Parioli, Quartiere Trieste, Porta Pia, Piazza Vescovio. They are not far from the city center, and are well connected with buses wich are very cheap in Rome.
