Lowe, 44, and his wife Sheryl Berkhoff filed the papers Monday accusing former nanny Laura Boyce of intentional misrepresentation and intentional infliction of emotional distress and claims that she "wrongfully disclosed" details about her employment and lied about her working conditions. The Lowe’s also filed lawsuits against two other former employees and claim that Boyce conspired with other parties to "damage the Lowe’s reputation."
Lowe has reportedly filed three different breach-of contract suits. One against Boyce, one against another nanny Jessica Gibson, and one against former chef Peter Clements. Lowe claims that all three violated the confidentiality agreements they signed. He accuses Clements of having sex on his bed and of stealing prescription drugs. He also claims that one of the former nannies threatened to accuse him and his wife of "a vicious laundry list of false terribles" if they did not pay her $1.5 million. He wrote in an item on the Huffington Post, "My family is devastated at this betrayal. This woman worked in our home and traveled with us off and on for several years, without complaint."
Lowe currently stars on ABC’s Brothers & Sisters. He married Berkhoff in 1991 and the couple has two sons, Edward and John. Lowe also wrote, "No one intimidates my family…We will defend ourselves with vigor and without fear." His rep said, "Instead of paying off as most celebrities do, he decided that you have to make a stand on this. That’s very, very rare and unusual. Most people try to sweep these things under the rug because the allegations are so damaging if they get out. But Rob was not going to be blackmailed. So he’s fighting it."
