Rob Lowe’s Nanny Files Sexual Misconduct Claim

Gibson, 24, filed an 18-page lawsuit in a Santa Barbara, California court Monday. In the filing, Gibson claims that Lowe repeatedly exposed himself to her and inappropriately touched her. She alleges that Lowe "placed his hand inside Gibson’s pants" on numerous occasions between the dates of September 2005 to January 2008. She also alleges that he grabbed her buttocks in December 2007. Gibson has retained famed attorney Gloria Allred to represent her.

Lowe’s attorney, Stanton "Larry" Stein said in a statement Tuesday, "Ms. Gibson’s older sister worked for the Lowes for 7 years. Ms. Gibson worked for the Lowes on and off for 7 years. She left at least 2 times to pursue other jobs, and returned each time asking for more hours. She sent 2 emails the day after she left, both saying she loved the Lowes and her leaving had nothing to do with them, but her heart wasn’t into being a nanny anymore." He went on to say that the allegations just aren’t true. Gibson claims that she returned to her job as the Lowe’s nanny because she loves the children. She also said, "I needed the job. I thought it would get better, and I was scared."

Gibson also claims that she was harassed by Lowe and his wife, Cheryl Berkhoff, and that she was not paid for all the hours and overtime that she worked. Gibson’s filing came one week after Lowe filed a civil action against her claiming a breach of confidentiality. The Lowes also claim that Gibson used their homes in Santa Barbara and London for sexual trysts and that she took drugs while their children were in her care. A hearing date is pending.
