Rihanna's Bloody Gown Submitted as Evidence in Chris Brown Case

The District Attorney's office will present its case today and one piece of evidence may be the bloody Gucci gown that Rihanna was wearing during the alleged attack.
On the night of the alleged attack by Chris Brown, Rihanna was wearing an $11,000 Gucci gown, which eventually had her blood on it as a result of the altercation. The dress was taken into evidence by police on the scene and is part of the overall case that the police have compiled against Brown. And although the district attorney's office is scheduled to present its case today, there is a strong likelihood that a plea deal will be reached in advance, with Brown pleading guilty to a lesser charge.

Last night, Marcia Clark told E News that she didn't believe that Brown would serve jail time for the attack, primarily because it was his first offense and because his defense team would make a felony conviction extremely difficult for prosecutors.

The fact that Rihanna and Brown seem to have reconciled and are easing back into their relationship would also weaken the prosecutors' case, since Rihanna's testimony would likely be a key piece of evidence in the proceedings. Police have acknowledged receiving conflicting statements from both sides and it is still unclear exactly what evidence the police have compiled in the case.

Even though the widely-circulated picture of Rihanna showed clear bruises, cuts and swelling from the beating, it's likely that skillful attorneys and a strong public relations push will restore Brown's image in the coming years. After all, who doesn't like Kobe Bryant these days?
