Ridiculous Comment of the Year Award: "Kanye Standing Up for Art"

Let it be made clear that if what Beyonce Knowles produces is to be considered "art," then the decline and fall of mankind is well underway. With that out of the way, we move to the ridiculous comment of the year (decade?) award, which in this case actually DOES go to Knowles, who recently noted of Kanye West’s outburst at the Video Music Awards: "Well, I know his intentions, and I knew he was standing up for art; and he told me before, when they said the nominees, he’s like, ‘You have this aware.’"

So there you have it, Kanye does apparently believe that she’s producing art.Even worse, Kanye West apparently believed it enough to storm the stage at the VMAs which, Beyonce admitted, left her aghast. Said Knowles, "When they didn’t call my name, he was, like, completely shocked. And when he walked on the stage, I was like, ‘No, no, no!’ and then he spoke and I was like, ‘Oh, no, no, no!’" And then Kanye was all, like, Beyonce is, like, so totally awesome y’all! OK, OK, we made that last part up, but to hear Beyonce speak in Britney-ese is amusing at the least.

The saving grace, of course, is the "art" that she produces, so we’ll let the verbal communication issues slide for now. Beyonce did go on to say, "But in the end, it ended up being a great night, and Taylor Swift did get her moment – and I didn’t have to make an acceptance speech." Which, if you think about it, folks, is, like, so totally cool.
