Riddles and Answers for Adults
If you like solving riddles - and we mean those really tough ones, the compilation given below will surely be a treat for you. You can try to solve them on your own first, and then crosscheck with the answers that follow.

Riddles and Brain Teasers with Answers
1) A large truck is crossing a bridge which is 1 mile long. The bridge can only hold 10,000 lbs, which is the exact weight of the truck at that point of time. The truck makes it half way across the bridge and stops. A bird perches on the truck. Will the bridge collapse?
2) Six glasses are arranged in a row. The first three are full of juice, while the next three are absolutely empty. By moving only one glass, can you arrange them in such as manner that empty and full glasses lie in alternate order?
3) A fishing trawler with a ladder is anchored at the harbor. The distance between two steps of the ladder is 1 meter. If waves lashing against the wall rise half meter in every half hour, how much time will it take for the 6 steps of the ladder get under water?
4) The age of a father and son adds up to 66. The father's age is the son's age reversed (i.e. if father is 30, son is 03 years old). How old could they be?
5) You have a barrel of oil, and you need to measure out just one gallon, but you only have a three-gallon container and a five-gallon container. How will you do it?
6) You have 15 gold bars and a balance scale. One of the bars is lighter than the other bars, but you can't tell the difference by feel. What is least number of times you could use the scale to determine which one is the light one?
7) An extraordinary earthworm is trying to build a house on the top of a tree which is 20 meters tall. Every day, the worm climbs 5 meters, but slips down by 2 meters. In this continues, how many days will the earthworm take to reach to the top of the tree?
8) You are standing in front of a room with one light bulb inside it. You cannot see if it is on or off. Outside the room there are 3 switches in the off positions. You may turn the switches any way you want to. You stop turning the switches, enter the room and know which switch controls the light bulb. How?
9) If your sock drawer has 6 black socks, 4 brown socks, 8 white socks, and 2 tan socks, how many socks would you have to pull out in the dark to be sure you had a matching pair?
10) A man is traveling with a fox, a goose, and a sack of corn. He comes upon a stream which he has to cross using a tiny boat which only has place for two. He can only take himself and either the fox, goose or corn - at a time. He could not leave the fox alone with the goose or the goose alone with the corn. How does he get all safely over the stream?
It's very difficult to say whether the aforementioned riddles are difficult or funny. If you solved them, you must have realized that they were pretty easy and fun to solve. If you didn't, you must be laughing at yourself for not being able to come up with these easy answers.
