Revitalized

On the grass, at night I lay
Counting the stars that shine
I contemplate the twinkling dots
As I sigh in pure tranquility.
I run my fingers through the lawn,
And feel the wind hold peace within me.
The howling trees brush against my shoulder
And make me feel protected in my bliss.
I grab on tight to what I have
As I gaze endlessly into the sky filled with darkness.
The moonlight cleanses my soul
While my eyes fill with tears of joy.
My lungs expand with every breath
As I am revitalized and once again free.
