The CleanRest Allergen Barrier Mattress Cover offers the CleanRest encasements that are designed to provide a clean, safe barrier against allergens that are as tiny as one micron in size. These encasements are comfortable and cool to touch, and they are also breathable.

CleanRest products have been designated to be certified asthma friendly by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. They let air penetrate through them so that they are able to breath and yet they are still waterproof and offer stain protection. 

The MicronOne fabric technology totally keeps out allergens including dust mites, dust mite waste, pet dander, pollen, mold spores, and bed bugs. In addition, no vinyl, plastic or polyurethane is used in the construction of the product which means that the sleeper will not feel hot and sweaty because of heat getting trapped. The material used is not loud, and crunchy but is instead soft to the touch. Care calls for machine washing and drying at high temperatures. The CleanRest has a zippered encasement of the top, sides, ends and bottom of a mattress, pillow or box springs. And it is designed to cover mattresses that are up to 17 inches in depth.

Owners say that the fabric is waterproof and does seem to prevent most allergies. They say that the pillow protector is superior to the mattress protector because of the absence of seam issues or size problems with the pillow product. Some owners complain that the mattress encasement can have a seam that runs the width of the mattress. The seam can be uncomfortable to a sleeper's hip when it is in contact with it for some time.
