Revenge

The transition between winter and spring
The rain beats down,
on the battered white,
denting the sheet of perfection.

Every single drop of wetness
taints the innocence
of the never ending whiteness.

The towering pines
try to shield the purity
from the tainting rain
and the signs of spring to come.

But their efforts are futile.
Spring will come,
and winter will end.
But revenge is sweet.

Once again the snow will fall.
The flowers will die,
and winter will reign once more.
