Retiring or Relocating to Raleigh North Carolina
Raleigh North Carolina has some of the best museums in the state. The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences is the largest of its kind in the Southeast. The Contemporary Art Museum and the North Carolina Museum of History, Exploris, provide interactive exhibits to bring history to life.

College sports are prevalent in the area. With the Wolfpack making its home at the University of North Carolina, and its two biggest rivals, the Tar-Heels at Chapel Hill and the Blue Devils in Durham lurking nearby, there's always a great game waiting. Hockey has come to the region as well; the Carolina Hurricanes play in Raleigh and have found success, turning this southern hot spot into an ice loving town.

There are plenty of options for tee-times at one of the many public golf courses that surround the area. Some options include Lockmere Golf Club and Heritage Golf Club.

Artistic expression has found a place as well. From the Walnut Creek Amphitheater, the sounds of the North Carolina Symphony can be heard floating through the night. Artspace is a great place to go to for exhibitions, classes and studio space.

Relax at the Raleigh Yoga Center, play tennis at one of the twenty-four courts in the city, paddle a canoe on the Neuse River or attend one of the many social programs that the Parks Department hosts.

The North Carolina Museum of Art, and the Contemporary Art Museum are great places to spend the day. Check out a show at the Pour House Music Hall; get some pizza at The Farmhouse Pizza and Plates.
