Now the first step is to wash the tarnished portion of the floor with oil soap. Dry the floor. Next, scrape to remove the surface layer of mold. In order to scrape, simply press the scraper into the wood and pull it along with the grain of the wood. Now, take the sanding sponge and move it in the direction of the grain, in order to remove the mold. Continue the same procedure for the remaining stains and use small amounts of diluted clorox bleach for the more stubborn stains. Excess of the bleach solution might spoil the look of the wood, so be careful while doing this! If you do not wish to do all this, you can opt for the ready to use chemicals for removing stains from wood.

Removing Water Stains from Wood

Often neglected, but yes, water leads to staining of wooden surfaces! However, you do not have to worry about it as removing water stains from wood is not a herculean task. It is very simple! In order to remove water stains from wood, you will require some amount of non-gel toothpaste and a couple of clean cloths. Moisten the clean cloth and apply some non gel toothpaste to it. Now rub the toothpaste on the affected area. Next, remove the film with the help of a clean and moistened piece of cloth. Further, dry it with a clean cloth and polish the wooden surface.

Removing Grease Stains from Wood

If you find a grease stain on any of your wooden surfaces or furnitures, you need to take action immediately. This is because, grease stains over a period of time become stubborn and then it becomes difficult to clean them. In order to remove grease stains from wood, you will require some salt and wood polish. The procedure is the simplest of all! All you need to do is, apply some salt to the stain and let the salt settle on the stain till the grease gets absorbed. Polish the affected area of the wooden surface. Here's a tip to prevent your wood from stains of grease. You just have to polish the wooden surface regularly!
