You may be more into an older style similar to what you saw growing up - the oak dining room table with the big china cabinet, for example. You could always go all out and give it the deluxe formal look - including china dinnerware, crystal glasses, vase with fresh flowers, chandeliers, the whole works.

You don't have to break the bank in remodeling your dining room.
