Remembering You was Hard - Part 4

When I woke up, I noticed I was in a hospital room. It was really weird. All I saw was this nurse checking my temperature. The nurse asked me,"are you okay?"
"Yes." I managed to choke out.
"Well, you could go home if you like. Your temperature is 97.8. plus,you stayed here for about 3 weeks so your pretty good."
"Three weeks?!"
"Yes ma'am."
"Wow, yeah I think I will go home today. Is anyone here for me?"
"I don't think any of your family is but there is this one girl, April."
"Oh okay. Thanks. Where are my clothes?"
"I will go get them for you."
"Thank you."
She nodded her head and left the quiet room. why was April here? If shes here to say sorry to me,what would I say? Ryan told me she wasn't really my friend..maybe I will just drop her.
all of a sudden, I saw April at the door. Her eyes looked bloodshot and her eye makeup was all over her face.
"oh my gosh, halle, I'm so sorry. I know Ryan told you what I said,but I mean I just got jealous." there was a long pause. "and I thought you wouldn't make it. I don't even know how you got in this hospital. I..I'm sorry." she said shaking.
I just stared at her. what was I supposed to say? I forgive you. No! Not going to happen.
"Here are your clothes. I will go sign out for you. So you can go head home."the nurse said.
"okay, thank you so much."
I looked back at April. I grabbed my clothes and walked passed her to the bathroom.
after I changed, I saw April with her pleading eyes. I didn't want to forgive her. She was just a lying two faced butthead.
"halle,wait!! Before you leave,can I just ask you two things?"
"What, April?!? what can you possibly ask me after all of this?!" I screamed at her. she deserved it.
"halle,what happened to Ryan?" she asked in a sad voice.
I looked at her for a couple of seconds. "he left."
"What?"
"He left. I know its quite shocking and confusing. He said he loved me and its far too early to tell me the truth. Whatever thats supposed to mean."
"I'm sorry. I wish I could tell you the truth but Ryan is keeping it a surprise. and how did you get in the hospital?"
"Wait, why cant you just tell me the truth now?"
"Because I just cant. its a promise. Now tell me how'd you get in the hospital?"
"To be honest, I blacked out the second he was gone."
"halle, seriously? I think you like him."
"Okay no. how could I love a person who wont even tell me the truth of whats really happening. You have no idea how clueless I am as of right now. I mean I don't see why it matters to to you since were not friends anymore."
"At least let me take you home."
"Fine but only because theres no one else."
We got in her car and drove off.
"halle."
"April?"
"I understand that were not going to be friends anymore but will I ever see you around?"
"I don't know. I'm dropping out of high school. I don't see why I need school so I'm done with it."
"What about the talent show?"
"I only signed up for it because of Ryan, since Ryan isn't going to be there then I'm not doing it."
"oh." the rest of the car ride was pure silence.
When I got home, I found a notification on the front door. It was from the government. I opened it up and read:

Dear miss halle parker,
We are sorry for this inconvenience but your parents have passed away during a shooting on their way to a job inventory. You will not be able to attend to any schools because your family didn't hold any saved money for you. Once again we are truly sorry.
Signed by: Ohio State Government.

Well this was just fantastic. Ryan is gone. my parents left no money for me. I'm not going to school anymore.
I walked into the kitchen and set my stuff down. I noticed there was a letter on the table from Ryan. I got kind of scared because Ryan said that I will read a letter when he died. which I was hoping wouldn't be anytime soon. I opened it and read:
Dear halle,
I heard about your parents and that you were in the hospital. I also heard you aren't able to attend school so I dropped out. see you soon enough, I love you...
