Remembering You was Hard - Part 1

"Halle Parker." Mrs. Rodriguez called.
"Yes."
"Sit up and hurry with your exam."
"oh,right. sorry."
I didn't know what was wrong with me. usually, I'm wide awake during biology,but today I'm out of it. I finished my exam and turned it in.
"May I go to the restroom,Mrs. Rodriguez?"
"Yeah. sure,but don't take too long."
I walked out of the room and paced to the bathroom. of course, I wasn't really going to use it. I just wanted to get out of here. I had no one to talk to in that class. I just got stared at by these guys who were probably secretly gay. plus, April(my best friend) wasn't in that class. so, it was boring. I walked in to the bathroom,went in to the last stall and sat near the wall. I sat there for more than 45 minutes until Rosie came into the bathroom saying my name in an annoyed voice.
"yeah." I opened the stall and walked out.
"Mrs. Rodriguez told me to tell you that you have detention with a couple of other guys this afternoon because you basically stayed in here for the whole class period."
"Great,just great." I said in a sarcastic voice.
"Whats so great about that?"
"Nothing."
"Whatever. see ya." she said in a mean tone.
Rosie was the school slut. she was the kind of girl who flirted and had sex with almost every guy. she talked sh*t about everybody whom she didn't like, even her so called best friends. can you believe that?
I walked out of the bathroom and went to lunch. I spotted April and sat where she was at.
"Hey, halle."
"Hey."
"Are you okay? you look upset."
"Actually,no. I'm not okay. I'm sick of this effing school."
"Let me guess...you got detention." she said, sounding not surprised.
"You guessed right, but this time I'm not going to be alone."
"What?..why?"
"Rosie told me there's going to be two other guys there...which sucks bacon on bananas." I said.
April laughed.
"Whats so funny?" I said adding giggles.
"Halle, your just funny when you complain."
I started chuckling at myself because I knew it was true.
A few minutes later, we got up and went to our next class.
**later that day**
I said goodbye to April and I was now walking to detention. I was the first one to arrive.
"Hello,ms. Parker."
"Hi, Mrs. Rodriguez."
"Just take a seat in the third row. there's no music and you have to face forward at all times."
"I know. this isn't my first time being here. you don't have to repeat the rules every time." I said annoyed.
she didn't say anything but she did give me this evil glare.
I sat down and looked around the front of the room until I heard someone knock at the door.
"Is this detention?" someone said in a deep,yet cute voice.
"Why yes. Ryan have a seat next to halle. she wont mind."
"Kay."
He walked over to me and gave me a slight smile then he sat down. I didn't smile back. I have never even seen this 'Ryan' dude in my life. but, I knew for one thing he was really attractive.
he had bright grayish/bluish eyes and had dark brown hair that went right past his ears. it looked really cute because it was swayed to the side. also his face fit with his body. he wasn't muscular or anything but he wasn't scrawny. he also looked like he had a great personality with the smile on his face.
I noticed he was staring at me with an expressionless face.
I didn't know if I had something on my face or if there was anything in my hair so I asked if I could go to the bathroom.
of course she said yes.
I walked towards the bathroom and to the mirror. all I saw was a plain ol' skinny 16 year old girl with black hair and green eyes.
I looked closer on my face and saw nothing but my rosy cheeks.
but wait....if there was nothing on my face then why was he staring at me?
I paced back to detention. when I got in the classroom there was another guy. he wasn't as cute as 'Ryan' and he was a little chubby.
"Alex,can you come here for a second. I would like to show you your grade in biology." Mrs. Rodriguez said. I guessed Alex was his name. as I sat in my seat, I was being stared at again by Ryan. when I figured out he wasn't going to stop, I decided to turn my head where I faced toward the window.
