Reluctant to Wake

A very short story about the imagery of a winter morning. Comment Please!
Piercing light shone through the tiny cracks of the ivory blinds. A strange musk filled the room reminding her of a recent trip deep into the pine wood forest. The musk roused images of bears and deer in her mind as she prepared to open her eyes and face life. Warmth from her woven comforter engulfed her and beckoned her to fall back asleep and dream some more of the fresh spring that would come in a few months. Downstairs, her mother’s coffee brewed, sending an intoxicating aroma into her bedroom. This made her become even more reluctant to wake. ‘Five more minutes’ faintly crossed her mind before sleep invited her in and she was lost in the sweet realm of dreams.
