Relatives

Relatives
All to whom you relate are relatives.
Meaning of relative is wide and voluminous.
Children, siblings, parents are blood relations.
In-laws are your better half’s blood
They are blood-in-laws. Only next to blood.
Special and sensitive is this relation..
Childhood companions are first out-of-blood relatives.
Called childhood friends.
This relative, friend shares a very special bond,
unmatched by any other.
Every stage of life, introduces new set of friends.
Doctors, colleagues, neighbors, maids…
Constitute yet another band.
Doctor and maid are worth a very special mention.
Are the real relatives who rush to you in emergency.
Not the in-laws, out laws or own blood.
Recognized as relatives by society.
Enemy is also a relative; relation we share is enmity.
Third, second… cousins, friends’ friends… are extended relatives.
Interaction with these is very rare; better called rare relatives.
Those who are always there for you, in time of need;
Thro’ thick and thin; give emotional support
Are truest relatives, most genuine, closest to heart.
Rest are namesakes.
