Chapter 5
Ryan
When I wake up Heaven is still asleep. Why does she have to be so beautiful. I think as I lay there and stare at here. What am I thinking. Ryan get a hold of yourself I think to myself. Heaven is my enemy. And after I drop her off today at my bosses then she definitely will hate me even more. So I just need to stop thinking about her so much.
So I quietly get up ,careful not to wake her up, and I head into the small bathroom. After I take a quick shower I head into the kitchen to fix some breakfast. As I'm sitting there eating my eggs I hear a noise coming from the bedroom. Heaven must be up. I get up and make my way into the bedroom. When I open up the door I see Heaven laying on the bed trying to get out of the handcuffs again."
What are you doing?" I ask her and she jumps and turns her head around. "Will you please get these off me?" She says and puts on a big smile. I hold back a laugh cause she looks kinda cute. I don't say anything I just go over and take the handcuffs off.
Before I let her go I hold her hands just to make sure she doesn't run. "You are not going anywhere. Got it?" I say lacing my voice with anger and I look down at her face. "Okay." she says batting her eyes and looking innocent. I let go of her hands and Heaven just stays where she is at. All she does is stare up at me with her big brown eyes.
Just as I was leaning in to kiss her my phone vibrates in my front pocket. I lean back grateful to who ever it is that is calling so that I can have a distraction from Heaven. I turn around and look at the screen. My gratefulness goes away when I see that it is my boss. "Hello." I say trying to control my voice.
"Ryan you'll have to keep the girl there for a few more days. There is a blizzard coming and I want her here alive, not dead on the side of the road." he says in his loud voice. I can't keep her here for a few more days. Heaven is really uncontrollable. I think but I know I can't say anything to him about it. I can't get on his nerves cause this is my last case. If I do good than I'm out. And I really want to be out for good.
"Alright, I'll be there in a few days." I say and then hang up. I take a deep breath and turn back around towards Heaven. She is looking at the only picture that I have in the house. My little girl.
Heaven
I let out a deep breath as Ryan turns around and answers his phone. Why does it seem like I always want to kiss him. We were really close until his phone rang. There is a part of me that is revealed but then there is the part that really wanted to kiss him. As he is talking to someone I turn around and see a picture of a little girl sitting on the bedside table.
The little girl looks just like Ryan. She has his dark brown curly hair, his smile, and his baby blue eyes. She's gorgeous just like her daddy. I wonder where she is. I look back over at Ryan when I here him get off the phone. "Well it looks like we are going to be here for a few more days. There is a blizzard coming and we can't make it to Mark's before it hits." He says. Why do I have to be stuck here with him. What exactly do they want with me anyway?I don't say anything I just look back at the picture.
"Where is she?" I ask without thinking. I should have know he would get mad. "She is with her mother." He says coming over and taking the picture and putting it away. "Why isn't she with you?" I ask him and it only makes him angrier. "Stop asking so many questions. It's none of your business about my daughter." He says and I see the sad look comes into his eyes. I wonder what happened?
