Reese Witherspoon & Ryan Phillippe: Round 2?

Sources say that the two have been spotted around Los Angeles shopping, running, and having lunch together, One source said, "They met for lunch this week at the Votre Sante health food restaurant, a regular Brentwood haunt for Reese on San Vicente. And they’re going on runs together around the Brentwood Country Club. Both are regular, dedicated runners. Running is a very healing, meditative things, so maybe it will work magic on them." A friend of Witherspoon’s said, "Reese and Ryan are trying to work it out. They are still close."

Witherspoon and Phillippe called it quits in November after almost seven-years of marriage. They have two children together – 7-year old Ava and 3-year old Deacon. Witherspoon, 31, and Phillippe, 32, split amid rumors of his partying, alleged drug use, and infidelity. It was reported that Witherspoon found out that Phillippe had been having an affair with his Stop Loss co-star Abbie Cornish. A source claims that Phillippe copped to the affair and told Witherspoon they needed to end their marriage leaving her no choice. Cornish has denied reports of the affair.

In March it was rumored that Witherspoon was romantically involved with her Rendition co-star, Jake Gyllenhaal. All seemed to be going well, but in early June it was reported that Witherspoon called it quits because she wanted to focus her attention on her children. In early August it was reported that she and Gyllenhaal, 26, had picked up where they left off and were enjoying a quiet romance. Who knows? Gyllenhaal might be a welcome distraction, but she and Phillippe have two children and quite a history…he just might be a hard habit to break…
