Reese Witherspoon & Jake Gyllenhaal Romance

Sources say that the co-stars in the new thriller Rendition developed a romance while on the set. They have been very hush-hush about the relationship, but sources say that the two have been spending more and more time together. On March 23, they were reportedly spotted enjoying a meal with two other couples at the Los Angeles eatery Il Sole. An onlooker reportedly said, "They were cuddling. It looked very playful." And a friend of Gyllenhaal’s said, "In the last month, they’ve been spending a lot more time together."

Witherspoon, 32, and Gyllenhaal, 26, were also spotted together getting take-out food from The Clay Pot, an Indian restaurant, in Brentwood. An eyewitness said that Witherspoon went in to pick up the food while he waited in the car. An eyewitness said, "When she came back out to the car, he got out and opened the door for her and was shielding his face so no one would see him." The two seem to have a lot of common interests and both are homebodies that aren’t into the whole nightlife scene.

A source said of Witherspoon and Gyllenhaal, "They are taking it slow. It is new for both of them. But they are seeing each other and seeing where it goes." Witherspoon split from Ryan Philippe, her husband of almost seven years, in November. The couple has two children – 7-year old Ava and 3-year old Deacon. Reps for both Witherspoon and Gyllenhaal have not yet confirmed or denied the romance so we will have to wait and see what happens.
