Reese Witherspoon & Jake Gyllenhaal Back On?

The two have reportedly been quietly seeing one another again after calling it quits on their budding romance in June. They have recently been spotted numerous times looking more than friendly. The two reportedly split because Witherspoon was "emotionally unable" to continue the relationship and wanted to focus on her children. A source said that she and Gyllenhaal recently began seeing one another again because, "Reese came to terms with the fact that she can have a relationship and spend time with her kids."

Witherspoon, 30, and Gyllenhaal, 26, were first rumored to be romancing one another in March after meeting on the set of their upcoming movie Rendition. Though they never confirmed a romantic relationship, the two were spotted on romantic dates at Il Sole and getting take-out from The Clay Pot in Brentwood. A friend of Gyllenhaal’s reported, "In the last month, they’ve been spending a lot more time together." It was also reported that he had met her mother and her children. All signs pointed to something good, but all that ended in June when they went their separate ways. Maybe round two will have better results.

Witherspoon split from hubby Ryan Phillippe in November after almost seven-years of marriage. They have two children together – 7-year old Ava and 3-year old Deacon. Witherspoon and Phillippe, 32, split amid rumors of hard partying, drug use, and infidelity on Phillippe’s part. It was reported that Witherspoon found out that Phillippe had been having an affair with his Stop Loss co-star Abbie Cornish. Phillippe issued a statement to People magazine at the time saying, "I’m not a perfect person, but I’m not guilty of a lot of the things I have been accused of. My priority is and always has been the health and safety of my family."
