Pyogenic Granulomas
The raised skin bumps that look like either red spots or blue-black spots on skin is due to pyogenic granulomas. These are caused due to abnormal growth of small blood vessels that causes swellings. These black blue or red spots on skin appear due to a skin injury and disappear with time.

Eczema
The allergic skin condition that leads to itchy red spots on skin is eczema. This is a chronic skin condition that may disappear for sometime with treatment. Psoriasis

Rosacea
Rosacea is a common skin condition that mostly affects people with fair skin. These people develop red pimples on their face along with mild flushing. Sometimes, these people may develop spider veins that keep appearing and disappearing from time to time.

Acne
The most common cause of red spots on face is acne. Acne is generally seen in adolescents reaching puberty. Some develop acne or pimples due to an overactive sebaceous gland. Bacterial infection may also caused itchy red spots on face that cause a lot of irritation and itching.

Cherry Angioma
The most common type of angioma is the cherry angioma. This condition is characterized by bright red spots erupting on the face, chest and abdomen. These skin blotches increase in size and may turn bluish in color with time.

Hemorrhagic Rash
Bleeding of the small blood capillaries under the skin causes hemorrhagic rash. Hemorrhagic rash may indicate medical conditions like dengue fever, infections and diseases caused by meningococcus bacteria, etc.

Red Spots on Tongue
The tongue is pinkish in color under normal conditions. It is very alarming to see red spots on tongue as it indicates the general health of an individual. Let us have a look at some of the conditions that causes red spots on tongue.

Vitamin Deficiency
One of the most common causes of red spots on tongue is vitamin b12 deficiency. It is important to eat a healthy and balanced diet to overcome vitamin deficiency. Red spots on tongue due to deficiency disappear on their own when one starts eating right.

Kawasaki Disease
One of the most common causes of red spots on tongue in children is Kawasaki disease. This is an autoimmune disorder where the blood vessels are affected.

Scarlet Fever
Children are mostly affected with Scarlet fever that causes red spots on tongue. This is due to a streptococcal infections that causes strawberry tongue.

Geographical Tongue
This is a chronic condition that causes patches on the tongue with white or grayish wavy border. There are red tongue spots that tend to shift places with time.

Red Spots on Arms
Red spots on arms may develop due to a number of conditions. Some of the causes of red spots on arms are discussed below:

Keratosis Pilaris
Keratosis pilaris is a common skin condition where one develops red spots on arms, buttocks and thighs. These bumpy red spots make the skin rough and does not hurt or itch. This is not a serious skin condition and generally disappears by the age of 30.

Petechiae
If you observe small, pinpoint, round red spits on your arms and skin, it may be a sign of petechiae. This is due to bleeding under the skin that causes appearance of brown, purple or red spots on arms. This is a sign of number of medical conditions that may turn out be rather serious in nature. These conditions include leukemia, lupus, measles, mononucleosis, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.

Red Spots on Legs
Red spots on legs may occur due to bleeding or damage to blood vessels. It can also be due to development of purpura. This is a condition where blood collects under the tissues and forms purplish red spots on skin. Other causes include skin injury or trauma, thrombocytopenia, septicemia, autoimmune diseases, etc. The causes mentioned above in red spots on skin may also lead to red spots on legs.
