Red Skies: Chpt 8
Sorry if this part is short the next one is KINDA long.
"Thank you." Julian said. "All of you." He took a lingering look at me. "Yeah well, don’t expect anything else from me" Lucas said as he left the room. "I will discuss the plans as soon as I make a phone call." Dahlia said. Then, she left the room. I turned around to ask Julian a question but, he was gone! I looked under my bed, he wasn’t there. I looked in my bathroom, he wasn’t there either. I opened my window to look out of it. I looked around outside. I didn’t see him anywhere. Punk, I thought. I left my window open and turned around to see my mom in my room. "Looking for someone?"she questioned. I knew what she was talking about and she’s probably right. Oh boy. "Looking for no one is what you mean." I said. "I called an old friend, told him what was happening and, he’s heard of those things before." she stopped. "And?" I said. Then she said something that I would never forget. "He said that those things were completely dangerous and…..you’re most likely going to have to run away."

I sat down on my bed really slow. It was a lot to take in among two minutes. "Say what?" I said. "Sorry." Dahlia said. I was baffled, really baffled. "How soon?" I asked. "Early Monday morning." she answered. Baffled. "How early?" I asked. It took her a long time to answer. "5 am." "What about school and my friends?" I demanded. "Leave the school thing with me and I’ll leave the friends thing with you." she said as she left. Monday, Monday, today is Sun- that’s tomorrow, I thought. I hate you Julian.
