The arrival
I must’ve fell asleep because, the last thing I saw was Julian taking off his jacket and putting it over me. When I woke up, I saw the house that we were going to be staying in for the next two weeks. It had a cream colored masonry, complete with stone walls. It also had at least two stories and a lot of windows. There was a beautiful chandelier above the walkway twards the door. It had at least four rooms. Including a long, snake-like driveway. Plus, it looked like there was an extra floor, but I couldn’t tell.

As Julian pulled up, there was a guy in front of the front door, human. I put on Julian’s jacket and got out of the car. Julian did the same. The guy was tall, not very muscular, he had long brown hair pulled into a ponytail. He was wearing a matching black shirt and tie set along with matching shoes. "Welcome, my name is John." he said. "I am Bryce’s personal assistant, we’ve been expecting you." "Who’s Bryce?" I asked. John looked at me. "You’ll find out soon enough." he said.

He turned around and opened the door. When the door opened, I was astonished. The foyer was breath taking! The walls were a creamy white color and the living room was amazing, also. The walls were a blood red color and the couches were black and so was the coffee table. The fireplace was white and on the mantle was a big, flat screen t.v. and a red goblet on each side of it. Plus there was a large window facing the doorway. To top everything off, there was a radiant Maria Theresa chandelier overlaying the room. The morning sun was making it gleam brightly.

Under the chandelier was a guy, vampire. He was as tall as Julian, older than him, muscular, had a nice broad face, and had jet black hair slicked back. He had on a black dress jacket, black dress pants and a red dress shirt and black Gucci dress shoes. Dapper, I thought. As he walked over to me and Julian, Julian must’ve saw me staring because he whispered, "If you’re done staring, I think he wants to meet us now." I looked at him. His hand was on my waist. Then looked back at the guy approching us. "Hello, I’m Bryce Kensington you must be Julian," Julian nodded at him. "and you must be Millanna." he smiled. "Hi" I said. I smiled back. Julian‘s arm became tighter at my waist.

"Welcome to my home, if you would follow me." he said as he turned to the right side of the room where the kitchen was. We went through a rather large door way. "This is the kitchen." Bryce said. The kitchen walls were……….cream colored. All of the cabinets and counters were light brown wood. The fridge, microwave, and the stove were stainless steel. The counter tops were……..cream colored marble, and the floor was…….brown and cream colored tile. There was a red knife holder on the counter, which held black-steeled knives. I took one out, it was skinny, but sharp. I put my finger on top of the point. A small drop of blood leaked out of my finger. I looked at it. "Sturdy." I said.

Then Bryce lead us to the stair case. Its steps were again, cream colored and the railings were blood red. There was a "wine" closet beside the stairs and there was a cabinet full of goblets on the door. "Mr.Kensington, why are there so many goblets?" I asked while we were going upstairs. "You only have one mouth." Julian whispered. "I have a lot of business parties and please, call me Bryce." Bryce said. Upstairs, we came across a room with a white door. He opened it and said "This is the library." The library’s walls were black and the bookcases were again, blood red and they looked like the could be at least 9 feet tall. There was different selections of books from, mystery,to romance, to horror, to magazines, and biographies.

I stepped into the room dazed. There was different selections of books from, mystery, to romance, to horror, to magazines, and biographies. I walked up to one shelf and pulled out one specific book. It was a poetry book we had to do a report on at school. Finished it in 2 hours. Got an A, got a Prius! I felt someone walk up behind me. "Do you like poetry?" Bryce asked me. "Not really." I answered. He took the book from my hand and put it back on the shelf. "Lets go and see the rest of the house, shall we?" he said. "Sure." I said. As we walked out the room, Julian was at the door frame, looking at me.

I took his hand and we were off to see the rest of the house.
