Red Breaks Top 10 At Mainstream
RED BREAKS TOP 10 AT MAINSTREAM ACTIVE ROCK RADIO WITH "BREATHE INTO ME"
Modern Rock Band’s Hit Single Continues to Climb Chart; Lands Directly Behind Saliva, Sevendust and Nickelback
(Nashville, Tenn.) May 29, 2007 – GRAMMY-nominated and Dove Award-winning, Red’s current single at mainstream radio, "Breathe Into Me", has launched in to the Top 10 at Active Rock Radio, currently No. 10, on the heels of Saliva, Sevendust and Nickelback.
Responding to its current radio success, Red bassist, Randy Armstrong shared, "I seriously can’t believe what is happening with our music, especially ‘Breathe Into Me’. The dreams we all have continue to come true and to look at the radio charts and see our name in there is unreal. We can’t thank all of our supporters enough."
Red’s current radio single at Christian Rock Radio, "Break Me Down", is No. 2 on the R&R Rock Chart, and No. 9 on the CRW Rock Chart.
Red is currently on tour with Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin and Puddle of Mudd. The next stop on the tour is Cleveland, Ohio at the Time Warner Cable Amphitheater. Red will be playing over fifteen festivals throughout the summer. Visit www.myspace.com/dropofred for all upcoming tour dates.
Since the June 6, 2006 release of its debut album, End of Silence (Essential Records), Red has toured non-stop, collected two No. 1 radio singles ("Breathe Into Me" and "Already Over"), won a Dove Award (Rock Recorded Song for "Breathe Into Me"), and received a GRAMMY nomination in the category Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album for End of Silence. The five-member band is: Michael Barnes, lead vocals; Anthony Armstrong, guitar; Randy Armstrong, bass; Jasen Rauch, guitar; and Hayden Lamb, drums. End of Silence was produced by Dove-nominated producer/songwriter Rob Graves and mixed by Ben Grosse (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fuel, Sixpence None the Richer).
