Recurring Dreams - What do They Mean

Dreams are the background to reality. Quite true. Almost everyone has certain recurring dreams. But the question is recurring dreams, what do they mean? Well, stop wondering, let's find out recurring dreams meaning.
Recurring Dreams - What do They Mean
Before we get into the arena of recurring dreams, what do they mean, etc, etc., let us first understand the formation of a dream. What causes dreams? A dream is like an updating session. It is a cross between all that you have consciously thought about in the past one or two days, all that you have thought but are not aware of, and your past experiences and beliefs. Dreams are a combination of all that. Now, just like in any scary movie, a dream that completes itself satisfactorily, may never recur. However, recurring dreams are the ones that are said to have incomplete and unsatisfactory endings. Even if it is a happy dream, if it has an incomplete end, it will recur. Know about why do people dream?

Why do we have recurring dreams? Well, simple answer. Dreams are a way for your subconscious mind to show you the right way to something. No kidding! It is true. So, if you keep avoiding the path in your dreams, and taking the same old route, your subconscious will have to keep showing you the right path. Simple. So, your dreams are like a nagging system that your mind uses. The faster you heed it, the faster they will stop. The point is, what to heed, how to understand the psychology of dreams?

Recurring Dreams about Ex-Boyfriend
I have often heard women saying that they have "this weird recurring dream" about their ex-boyfriend. So, these recurring dreams, what do they mean? Well, if you think that a recurring dream about your ex, means that you need to get back with him, you are highly mistaken. Dreams are not that direct and nor is dream interpretation. They are loopy. What else do you expect from your subconscious?

Recurring dreams about an ex, needs analysis. As disturbing as it may seem, seeing a recurring dream about your ex simply means that there are some issues that are still unresolved. It does not mean that you still love your ex, it just means that he/she still exists for you, and that is not a bad thing, right? Next, you need to see what is it about your ex that you are dreaming. Is it a certain quality about your ex? Is he/she doing something in particular? Discuss this with your current partner. Take it up with a dream counselor if required. Unless and until you figure out why your ex keeps making appearances in your dreams, it will keep recurring.

Recurring Dreams about the Same Person
There are times when people have recurring dreams about the same person. It could be someone you know, or it could be someone who you don't know. Well, in case of recurring dreams about someone you know, it means that there is some issue in your head that you need to sort out with that person. If that person is a nagging competition to you, or if that person is someone you are attracted to. Whatever the issue may be, you need to sort it out with that person. Once, you have sorted out the issue in your mind, the dreams will stop. If it is a matter of attraction, the dreams may recur when your subconscious mind requires you to do something else, just a heads up!

A recurring dream about a person you don't know could mean a lot of things. If this unknown person, in your dream, is in a relationship with you, it means that your subconscious mind is giving you a glimpse of the ideal partner for you. If it is just the same person putting you in a spot, in recurring dreams, it's just that your subconscious mind is giving a face to your fears. It's just a manifestation of something that you are vulnerable about. All you need to so is face this vulnerability and move on.

Recurring dreams tend to occur when you are vulnerable to something, once you are out of that vulnerability, and in a state of relaxation, they stop. However, if you find yourself in a similar emotional position, the dreams may start recurring. Many people believe that they see psychic dreams. This may or may not be true. Like if you see a plane crash in your dreams and then you hear the news of an actual plane crash, that is a psychic dream. However, if you see yourself having a fight with a friend, and that happens, that may simply be, or even maybe that was waiting to happen due to your own actions.

Read more on: Dreams often get way more importance than required. Just remember, dreams come when they are needed, so fulfill the purpose and dream a new dream. Researching about recurring dreams, what do they mean may be fun. But, do not venture a guess about recurring dreams meaning for some body else without having full knowledge about the field. This is where I sign off! Sweet dreams!
