Recipe for Pickled Eggs #1
The first recipe that I wish to elaborate is of the pickled eggs, that can be used in form of a side dish and also a salad dressing. You can also make it into spicy pickled eggs or even hot pickled eggs by adding a content of chillies or pepper on the spot.
Requirements
- Cold water
- White vinegar
- Sugar
- Salt
- Mild mustard
- Celery seeds
- Cloves
- 2 onions
- 12 eggs – hard boiled
The procedure to prepare these kind of pickled eggs is pretty straight forward. Firstly, chop the onions and cook all the ingredients all at once on a regular saucepan. Next, let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, till you smell the aroma spread in the room. Then place all the eggs in a large bowl and then pour all the mixture over the eggs. Next, mix all the eggs properly in the mixture and make sure that you have covered all the eggs with the mixture. Serve this pickled eggs recipe with salad or bread. Make sure that you store it in a refrigerator. Do not leave it in the refrigerator for more than 3 weeks. There are chances that it will spoil.
Recipe for Pickled Eggs #2
The second recipe is that of sweet pickled eggs and beets. This recipe is also very easy to prepare.
Requirements
- Beets
- A dozen eggs
- A cup and a half of beet juice
- Brown sugar in a generous quantity of one cup
- A cup of apple cider vinegar
- One onion that is cut into rings
The first step is to boil the eggs till they become hard and then shell them. Next, place the eggs in a bowl along with beets and onions. Place the beet root juice in a small vessel and let it boil. Once the juice starts boiling, reduce down the heat and then add the vinegar and also the brown sugar. Allow the mixture to simmer till the sugar dissolves and the vinegar merges. Cut off the heat and pour the mixture over the beets, onions and eggs in the bowl. Let the bowl stand in the refrigerator for at least 2 days.
You can also try out innovations in the given recipes. It is best to have these pickled eggs with salads, breads, or just as side dishes.
