Romijn's rep Lewis Kay confirmed that the Ugly Betty star and O'Connell exchanged their vows in front of about 100 friends and family members at their home in the Los Angeles suburb of Calabasas. The couple's dogs Taco and Better were also part of the festivities - both dressed in black bow ties. Romijn reportedly said, "It was a perfect celebration and Jerry and I couldn't be happier."

The wedding was a western themed affair at their home. Guests enjoyed a lemonade bar and appetizers before the 6 o'clock ceremony. O'Connell's brother, Charlie, served as best man and the ceremony included a gospel choir singing Foreigner's hit song "I Want to Know What Love Is." After the 15-minute ceremony the couple reportedly skipped down the aisle to "Sunshine." Romijn wore a floor length white gown and carried a bouquet of white flowers. The reception reportedly included down home barbeque, hay bales, picnic tables and wagon wheels. The couple even reportedly had their pool covered with a huge dance floor.

The couple met in April 2004 on the set of Man About Town but didn't start dating until that fall after running into one another in Las Vegas while Romijn was working on her documentary about the choreography of the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino titled Wet Dreams. O'Connell proposed the following September. This is Romijn's second marriage. She previously married ER star John Stamos in 1998. The couple divorced in 2004. O'Connell was previously engaged to E!'s Giuliana DePandi. Romijn is currently starring in ABC's Ugly Betty and O'Connell stars on Crossing Jordan.
