Reasons to Get Married

Though marriage is seen as the most meaningful future of a relationship, many people still look for appropriate reasons to enter into holy matrimony. This article will give you some tips on what should be the reasons for people to take one of the most important decisions in their lives and say 'I do'!
You have been in a relationship with your girlfriend for five years and though you had occasional fights and the odd tensions between you, both of you do understand and accept each other. However, while your girlfriend is completely ready to settle down with you, there are still some doubts lingering in your mind. Though you may feel a little guilty in their minds, this is actually normal and most people seek for some good reasons to get a married tag. So, if you are in a dilemma yourself, you don't have to worry anymore. Because here you will find some important reasons to make the journey down the aisle a little easier.

Why to Get Married?
While you are searching for reasons, you will find several of them which can be classified as good ones as well as bad ones. People who opt to get married for the bad or the wrong reasons like pregnancy, loneliness, getting old, etc. will most likely end up in an unhappy marriage, sometimes even leading to divorce. Hence, it is important that one stays away from such reasons and get married only when one finds the right or the good reasons to do so.

Love and Commitment
Love is said to be one of the most important emotion that helps a person in deciding to get married. Now, just being head over heels in love with a person should not be the only reason to get married. It is often said that love is blind, and sometimes this blindness can leave you in a lurch. This is because many times in the beginning of a relationship, people tend to take even serious differences between them and their partners very lightly. However, if not solved, these relationship issues may become visible after marriage, giving rise to serious marital problems. Therefore, along with love, it is important to know about the other person's weaknesses and only if you find it easy to accept him/her along with their shortcomings, you should think about marriage. This is because marriage is a long time commitment and having too many differences can cause damages to a relationship.

Companionship and Stability
The first thing that comes to one's mind when thinking about marriage is stability. Many times, people who have gone through too many unstable relationships, wish to have a partner who will stay with them forever. However, this does not mean that one should get married to the next person that comes into one's life. Nevertheless, when you find a person who seems to be perfect for you, there is no other better reason to get married. Apart from stability, the idea of having a loving partner with you who will not only fill up your lonely times, but also make it fun and exciting for you is another good reason to get married. One must realize that life will have its ups and downs and having a person who will support and care for you during trying times, is a reason in itself to take the sacred vow.

Financial Support
Now, here I do not mean that one should get married for money, rather having a partner to share the finances will surely make life easier. For instance, if one of the partner has some health problem or meets with an accident due to which he/she has to take a break from work, the other partner can surely work and provide financial security to him/her as well as to the whole family.

Having a Family
One of the very common reasons most people have when getting married is raising a family together. Though bringing up children is a matter of great responsibility, bringing them into the world and taking care of them is considered to be very rewarding by most couples. Moreover, having children together and having the responsibility of raising them, helps in making the relationship more stronger and meaningful.

Enjoying Life
Most people, especially young couples, consider marriage as an end to their freedom. Though marriage may bring some changes in your life, you do not have to give up on your interests or even your friends. If you love traveling, what will be better than having a partner who will enjoy traveling with you. In the same way, if you and your partner are ready to share each others' interests and dreams, there is no reason why you shouldn't marry at a young age!

I hope you have realized that all the reasons end up with just one single thing and that is meeting the right person. When you meet the person who is perfect for you, all your doubts will vanish and things will fit into place. So, if you think you have met the right person, do not delay in popping the question and I am sure you will not regret your decision . All the best!
