Realization
Starting my poetry cycle - My Teenage Years. Poetry I wrote in high school. Love hurts...
I stood upon the hill watching
The tide rush to shore.
And the waves breaking in all
Their white foamed glory.
And I realized how little power I really had
And I felt even more helpless when I realized
I hadn’t even had the power to make you stay.
I let you slip away from me
Like the particles of sand falling
Through an hour glass.
And only too late did I realize
How much I did love you.
The tide rush to shore.
And the waves breaking in all
Their white foamed glory.
And I realized how little power I really had
And I felt even more helpless when I realized
I hadn’t even had the power to make you stay.
I let you slip away from me
Like the particles of sand falling
Through an hour glass.
And only too late did I realize
How much I did love you.
