Reality TV Star is Murder Suspect
Ryan Jenkins, a former contestant on Megan Wants a Millionaire, is being sought in the murder of his former wife, model Jasmine Fiore.
Authorities investigating the murder of Jasmine Fiore have started to look at her estranged husband as a possible suspect. But unfortunately for them, Ryan Jenkins is nowhere to be found and investigators are theorizing that he may have returned to his native Canada. Fiore's body was found stuffed in a suitcase in a trash bin in Buena Park, California over the weekend.
Jenkins had reported her missing only a day before and the two were last seen at a poker game in San Diego. Their relationship had been rocky from the start, including a spontaneous marriage in Las Vegas on March 18. From that point forward, things seemed to be difficult for the pair and Jenkins had been cited for domestic violence in June, with that case still pending a trial. Jenkins had also been convicted of assault in Calgary, Canada, but the details of that incident were not immediately available.
As the lines between reality television and reality continue to blur, this latest incident is really just a product of television introducing viewers to such a broad range of characters - "real people" off the street from all walks of life. When such a broad base of people are now regularly on television, it's not surprising that there will be criminals and deviants among that group.
