Raw Food Recipes

Making food is equivalent to mixing business with pleasure for me! As my choices of food have become increasingly simple, I have now started loving it when I have guests over for lunch or dinner. Now, I get to experiment with my newfound love for raw food! Here are a few of my favorite raw food recipes.
Raw Food Recipes
Yes, we all know that eating raw food is simply great – what with all the countless reports and scientific studies proving that the measure of your health is directly proportional to the food that you choose to eat. Healthy food, healthy body, unhealthy food, unhealthy body – the concept is as simple as that. So, let not the whirling galaxy of conflicting ‘Raw food diet’ dogma confuse you. Life is a lot more than simply eating food. Your health extends beyond those untrustworthy nutrition charts that have fast become a burdensome obsession for you. It is a lifestyle that encourages and supports eating only raw fruits, nuts, vegetables, seaweeds and seeds. Here are some of my favorite raw food recipes!

Mushroom Soup
This thick and rich soup has a delightful mushroom flavor. A brilliant recipe for the festive season and other such holidays, this soup is so rich that even half a cup is more than enough for a serving. For warm gravy or soup, heat the contents over a low flame until it warm to the touch. Use the softest and tastiest mushrooms. Use a small cup or serving bowl for this mushroom soup. If you plan on serving a large meal shortly after, then the amount of fat present in this soup will not be good for the health. If you want a tastier, zingier mushroom soup then add a teaspoon of chopped onions.

Ingredients:
  • Almond butter, ¼ cup.
  • One and a half cups of mushrooms.
  • 1 large pinch of salt/ 1 tbsp of Bragg’s/ one and a half tsp of Nama Shoyu.

Procedure:

Place the first 4 ingredients in a blender and blend them until they are smooth. Pour this paste into a serving bowl and then top it with the chopped mushrooms.
