Rare Ravioli Dreams
Try cooking ravioli in a whole new way!
When I was a child, ravioli was at the top of my list of favorite foods. I had heard the name one day, and from that day forward, I enjoyed saying it whenever there was important company visiting or to thoroughly impress my friends at school. The day I actually got to try ravioli for the first time was a day that one of my small dreams came true.
Whether you are making your own ravioli from scratch or deciding what the best sauce or sides are for this glorious dish, you can always learn new ways to prepare it. Here are a few recipes to try when you’ve got ravioli on your mind:
Stir-Fry Ravioli Recipe
St. Louis Toasted Ravioli Recipe
Stir-Fry Ravioli
While "stir-fry ravioli" may never have crossed your mind, do not be afraid of this recipe. You will need two tablespoons of olive oil, a package of cheese ravioli, a have cup of mixed pickled, a pound and a half of ground beef, a half cup of white wine, plus salt and pepper. First, like with any stir-fry you will need to heat up your pan with oil. Next, sauté the pepper flake and ravioli. The ravioli will be golden, but make sure they are cooked all the way through (should take about five minutes). The beef needs to be cooked next, also browned in the wine for about five minutes. It is really this simple. Serve with a garnish of your choice and enjoy.
St. Louis Toasted Ravioli
For a different kind of toasted ravioli try this St. Louis variation. You will need two tablespoons of milk, one egg, breadcrumbs with seasoning, a teaspoon of salt, a package of ravioli, vegetable or olive oil, fresh Parmesan cheese, and tomato sauce. The first step is to beat your egg and milk in one bowl. In another spread the salt and bread crumbs. These are your dipping sauces. Take your ravioli and first dip them in the wet ingredients, then cover in the dry. In a Dutch oven pour the oil and heat up to about 350F. When the oil is boiling start frying the ravioli in the hot oil and take them out when they are browned. Serve with the sauce and impress your family!
