Rare Pets

Rare pets are a bunch of pets in the game World of Warcraft (WoW), that are unique in nature and appearance. Their uniqueness is an indicator of the rarity of the skin of the creatures. There are a number of rare hunter pets in the game, that a hunter can choose as a companion, and the rarer the species, the greater will be the hunter's ability to win battles.

World of Warcraft is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG), and is one of the most popular titles by the Blizzard Entertainment franchise. It also happens to be one of the major causes of Internet addiction in the USA. As hunters in the game travel through Azeroth and Outland, their pets are their companions and aid them in a variety of ways. A hunter's pets are a great way to attract a mob towards you and get them within range, so that you can use your ranged attack on them.

List of Rare Hunter Pets
These can be divided into various species and this list will show you the various rare hunter pets that you can tame.

Bats
There are 2 bats that fall in the rare hunter pets category.

• Ressan the Needler: A level 11 rare mob bat that is found in Tirisfal Glades.
• Blind Hunter: A level 27 rare mob bat, found in Razorfen Kraul.

Bears
There are 2 rare bears that you can find, that do not have generic skin.

• Diseased Black Bear: Level 51-52 bears that are found in the Western Plaguelands.
• Rabid Grizzly: Level 71-72 bears found in Western Dragonblight.

Birds of Prey
There are 3 pets in this category.

• Avian Darkhawk: Level 67-7- elite bird of prey found in Sethekk Halls.
• Avian Ripper: Level 67-70 bird of prey also found in Sethekk Halls.
• Aotona: Level 75 rare elite mob parrot found at Wildgrowth Mangal, in Sholazar Basin.

Boars
These pets are mostly found in Razorfen Kraul.

• Agam'ar: Level 24-25 elite boars found in Razorfen Kraul.
• Raging Agam'ar: Level 25 elite boars also found in Razorfen Kraul.
• Rotting Agam'ar: Level 25-26 elite boars found in Razorfen Kraul.
• Plagued Swine: Level 60 pigs that are found in the Eastern Plaguelands.

Carrion Birds
The 3 types are as follows.

• Bonestripper Buzzard: Level 58-59 carrion bird found in the Hellfire Peninsula.
• Bonestripper Vulture: Level 61-62 carrion bird also found in the Hellfire Peninsula.
• Trachela: Level 65 two-headed carrion bird found in Terokkar.

Cats
These are very popular pets to have, and their variety are extremely useful.

• Araga: Level 35 rare mob mountain lion, that can be found in the Alterac Mountains.
• Humar the Pridelord: A level 23 elite rare mob cat, that is found with his pack in the Barrens.
• Echeyakee: Level 16 cat found in the Barrens, only upon summoning.
• Sian-Rotam: A level 60 hostile lion found in Winterspring.
• Rak'shiri: Level 57 hostile rare mob saber cat also found in Winterspring.
• Shy-Rotam: Level 60 saber cat also found in Winterspring.
• Frostsaber Pride Watcher: Level 59-60 hostile cat found in Winterspring.
• Ghost Saber: Level 19-20 hostile cats found in Darkshore.

Chimaeras
There is only one kind of rare chimaera that can be tamed. Nuramoc is a level 70 rare mob chimaera found in Netherstorm.

Dragonhawks
Unique creatures in themselves, there are 3 types of dragonhawks.

• Bloodfalcon: Level 69 elite dragonhawk found in the Botanica.
• Phoenix-Hawk Hatchling: Level 70 elite dragonhawk found in Tempest Keep.
• Eclipsion Dragonhawk: Level 67-68 rare dragonhawk found in Shadowmoon Valley.

Gorilla
There is only one gorilla rare pet in the game. Uhk'loc is a level 52-53 rare mob gorilla that can be found in the Fungal Rock cave in the Un'Goro Crater.

Hyena
This is a rare pet that also has only one species. The Scarlet Tracking Hound is a level 33-34 elite hyena that can be found in the Scarlet Monastery Library.

Owls
There are 2 rare owls that have not been included in birds of prey.

• Avian Warhawk: Level 68 elite mob owl found in Sethakk Halls.
• Skettis Kaliri: Level 70 owl found in the Terokkar Forest.

Raptors
There are many raptors in the game, but only 2 types of raptors that are rare.

• Deviate Stalker: Level 15-17 elite raptor that is found at the entrance to the Wailing Caverns.
• Takk the Leaper: A level 19 elite rare mob raptor found in the Barrens.

Serpents
Serpents are very rare and there are 3 that act as rare hunter pets.

• Razzashi Serpent: A level 60 elite serpent found in Zul'Gurub.
• Murk Spitter: Level 46-47 elite rare serpent found in the Temple of Atal'Hakkar.
• Deviate Viper: Level 18-19 elite mob serpents found in the Wailing Caverns.

Spiders
There are many spiders in the game, but only 3 are considered rare.

• Zarakh: Level 19 spider found on Bloodmyst Isle.
• Naraxis: A level 27 rare mob spider found in Duskwood.
• Razzashi Broodwidow: A level 61 elite rare spider found in Zul'Gurub.

Wind Serpents
These are flying serpents that are again very rare.

• Hayoc: Level 41 rare mob wind serpent found in Dustwallow Marsh.
• Arash-ethis: Level 49 rare mob wind serpent found in Feralas.
• Arikara: A level 28 elite wind serpent in the Thousand Needles.

Wolves
Wolves are very popular too, but there are only 2 unique ones.

• Ironjaw: A level 63-64 rare wolf found in Terokkar Forest.
• Old Cliff Jumper: A level 42 rare mob wolf that is found in the Hinterlands.

These rare pets can be used by hunters to advance further in the game and increase their levels. Rare hunter pets are extremely useful and handy companions to have.
