Random Musings

Searching for meaning in a world completely bereft of it, is beginning to leave more than just a few traces of numbness.
Random Musings
Surrounded by walls of concrete and the glare of blindingly bright city lights, it seems like the spirit of man is withering away. Wandering in the midst of all this exaggerated mediocrity, we all find some outlets of expression that are comprehensible only to ourselves. To each his own they may say, but to find a bigger void between actions and words does not seem possible anymore. What is it that drives us all to lead rigid lives of mundane predictability? Where is the spirit of adventure, and the rapture of conquering the unknown?

I think we have successfully learned how to vanquish the creature of instincts within ourselves, the primordial beast that lives inside of us. We are becoming prisoners of our devices, and what makes such a change irreversible is the simple fact that these changes are consensual. We see them happening, and we are aware of the transformation, and yet we do nothing to banish this growing sense of captivity away. We all live under the province of the 'deferred life plan' now. Putting off your dreams and your goals till a later date is the deferred life plan. Existing today so that you can achieve what you want a few years down the line is the deferred life plan. Wasting your days in the hope of prolonging them is the deferred life plan.

We must learn to challenge ourselves. To push ourselves out of our shells, and to make ourselves aware of the true beauty that is around us. The most aesthetic beauties of life are not man made, they are completely natural. Can you not sense an intense feeling of nostalgia or reflection when you stare out at a vast expanse of sea, captured by the sight and sound of an endless glittering universe in itself, or when you stand atop a mountain and look below and see the clouds passing by, as if you were floating on them? The next time this happens, remember these words. These feelings are nothing but the instincts in your mind, memories that have been passed down for centuries. That strange sensation in your head is the remembrance of those memories, it is a primordial instinct.

Somewhere along the line, we as a race have forgotten how to live our lives. We are free creatures living in a free universe, yet there is no greater chain than that in our minds, there is no greater bond than that which restricts our thoughts. Free yourselves from the imaginary chains that you have tied around yourselves. Learn to appreciate nature, and embrace each human being as a fellow creature trying to realize the truth just as you are. People speak of God and his brilliant creations, but for me God is an energy force residing in our hearts. And the only way of worship that I truly accept is one in which you give yourself everything you want, today.
