Raising A Healthy Poodle Puppy

In order to make sure that your Poodle puppy is extremely safe, you will want to make sure that all things that can harm the puppy are up away from reach. Before your Poodle puppy arrives you will want to make sure that you have a plan of action ready in regards to what exactly you want to train him or her on first.
Now that you have finally got your heart set on getting an adorable Poodle puppy, you need to make certain adjustments to your living space in order to make it puppy friendly. There are just a few things that you need to check for to make sure that the adjustment period for the puppy goes smoothly. First of all, you need to make sure that anything that can possibly be deadly to your puppy is removed and put out of reach or discarded.

Such things would include rat traps and poison, even if you think that are hidden well enough because just like children, you can never be completely sure of what they can get into until they actually find something that they were not supposed to. Basically, what you are wanting to do is baby proof your home or apartment but not because a baby in coming but yet a little precious puppy who needs your love and guidance to help them understand their new house rules.

Some more things that you will want to have done before your Poodle puppy comes home is having a good detailed list of the things you want him or her to learn such as where to go potty and to stay off of the couch. Once you have come up with your list, you want to determine which of the dog lessons are the most important to you. By doing so, you can make sure you get to the most important task first because puppies should only be trained on one lesson at a time.

Also, in order to make any trainings a success, you must have some good Poodle puppy names on hand so that when you finally get your puppy home, you will have a list of your personal favorites in regards to puppy names and selecting the right one will not take as long. Once that is all said and done you can begin your training and you want to start that right away, as they can be stubborn at times.

Even though you may have read up on everything there is to possible read about when it comes to Poodle puppies, it is important to know that you will not know everything until you finally experience it all first hand. There are a lot of things to learn about the Poodle puppy and one of the biggest problems most owners have is that they seem a little bit on the slow side when doing potty training.

Even though it seems that this would be the easiest by the way books make it sound, these little guys and gals have a mind all their own. And with potty mistakes being what they are, a big dirty and smelly mess, it is no wonder that if someone is not expecting it the entire process can prove to be extremely frustrating.
