Link Building tips

I love to get a hot tip every now and again. Some are practical, some aren't. Either way it's nice to be in the loop so I can make up my own mind.

Anyway, enough of the prologue, what you really want is some hot link building tips...

1. Join every group imaginable

Now this is a little trick I found out about, that most groups allow a link on the profile page to the members home site. Use an automated form filler like roboform and it takes about 1 minute per site.

2. Profile pages

Are you aware that your profile pages in facebook, linkedin and myspace all allow for a backlink? Even though they are no follow, that only means the SE's shouldn't follow them.

Many real people will!

Many other sites let you have do follow links in the profile pages and there are hundreds of such sites around, so get looking.

Don't waste those potentially useful links

3. University Pages

Sometimes you don't have to be a member, to access varsity pages, so have a browse around and see if you can't find a couple of useful one's to get links from.

If you have a friend with a Edu account then by all means schmooze them into giving you some link love.

4. Pligg sites

There is at current count over 10000 pligg based sites and almost all of them have user profile pages, so be sure to join them all. I join about 50 per day using roboform. It's also a good way to get links to my best pages as you can deep links.

The links are not of super high quality but you can get quite a few in a short space of time and that's the big appeal.

Also, some of them do actually have some page rank, so watch for those ones as they are like gold.

Hopefully you can employ some tactics to boost your link count and really get some SE respect
