Questions to Ask a Girl
For all fellow members of the male community, whether or not you read this article, could very well determine just how lucky you get with a girl. Read on to find out what questions to ask a girl if you want to get things up and running.

No beating around the bush. I'll come straight to the point. I'm no love guru, nor am I Will Smith from Hitch. I'm just another Adam who is exasperated at seeing fellow Adams making fools of themselves in front of their potential Eves, over and over again. Hence, I have decided to step up and do my bit for the male community. Most guys don't know zilch about how to approach a girl, how to make a move, how to start a conversation, and what questions to ask a girl (to keep the damn conversation going, forget about boosting one's chances).
Lesson Number 1: Think of it as driving a car:
- single and ready to mingle = car in good condition
- spotting a pretty girl = getting into the car
- making eye contact = turning on the ignition
- approaching the girl = shifting to first gear
- making a move/using a cute pickup line = moving up to second gear
- starting a conversation = third gear (good...now you're making some progress)
- asking questions and keeping the conversation alive = up to forth (great! Keep it going)
- leaving with your newly acquired arm candy = Bingo! Top gear!
So for all you brave men out there who aim for top gear but inevitably fail at fourth, pay attention! Apart from the regular dating tips, you are also in dire need of good conversation starters. Here are the right questions that you could ask a girl if overdrive is what you're aiming at. They serve the purpose of being good ice-breakers and can keep your conversation alive.
What does your name mean?: A safe way to begin. If she knows the answer, that's good because it paves the way for some more chat on or around the subject.
What is your zodiac sign?: Another question which ensures a few more lines of chit chat. Whatever be the zodiac sign that she says she belongs to, always act surprised. Say something about her not resembling the characteristics of that zodiac sign, etc. That will get her to open up and describe herself a bit more.
Where are you from?: A common question, but you can use it as a backup if everything else fails. The point is, you simply must ensure a couple of minutes of chit chat before you move on to the following intermediate level questions.
So what do you do on weekends?: Be casual and extremely relaxed while asking this question. This is an important question (for you), as it can provide you with secret hints to the answers to a lot of questions such as her idea of fun, her likes and dislikes, her hobbies and activities, and most importantly, whether or not she is dating someone else or is single and ready to mingle! (Wink)
What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you?: Ask this question only after you or her have cracked a joke or have shared a good laugh. The timing of this question is very important, therefore do not ask this question out of the blue (unless you want to ruin your chances). You can also substitute this question with "What is the craziest thing you've ever done?".
By now, you will have crossed the first critical zone. (There are two critical zones - moving from second to third gear, and from fourth to top gear). Your focus should be on making the conversation as interesting as possible. If by default, the girl happens to be a talkative one, half your work is done, as further topics of conversation will emerge on their own. If however, she is not exactly a chatterbox, try some of the following questions:
- What kind of movies do you like?
- Who is your favorite actor?
- What is your favorite TV show?
- What kind of music do you like?
- Who is your favorite singer?
- If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?
After you reach a stage where both of you are not exactly strangers anymore, you can try slipping in the following questions:
- How romantic are you?
- What is your idea of a nice date?
- What do you look for in a guy?
- Would you like your guy to be spontaneous or stable?
- What is your definition of love?
- What was your first impression of me?
- What kind of life do you want to live?
- What would your dream honeymoon destination be? (ask this only if you can pull it off!)
- What would you prefer? An urban apartment, a countryside cottage, a beach-side villa or a house in the hills?
