Pulling the Trigger
1-Orders are Orders.

A/N- Enjoy! ....... hopefully...
A/N- THE GIRL IN THE PIC IS NIKA
I got out my M1911 colt pistol and set in down next to me on the blisteringly hot roof where I was positioned for the kill. The pistol was more of a comfort to know it was there rather than the gun I was going to kill my target with. The weapon I was going to use was a beautiful black and silver M40A1 sniper rifle perfect for this particular mission considering I was aiming for my target on top of a 12 story hotel and he was across the street in a limo.
I held the rifle close to my chest as I reached to take my sunglasses off. I was sometimes a clutz and I sure as hell didn't want to drop the gun because then the mission would have to get messy and more than one person would have to die.
I sighed and shrugged.
"Well, I didn't get paid to just sit up here." I groaned and took my sunglasses off.
I peered through the scope and aimed it at the unsuspecting guy in the backseat. I didn't know who he was, where he came from, or even what the hell he did. All I did know was that he seriously pissed my boss off. Usually I get my orders on a slip of paper but my boss wanted this guy dead so much he came to me personally and gave me two thousand dollars in cash to kill him.
"Sorry guy, orders are orders." I sighed and then I pulled the trigger just like I had done thousands of times before and watched the chaos unfold.
The car swerved and hit an on coming car causing it to smash into a store. The driver who amazingly was still alive hobbled out of the car clutching his arm and screaming for someone to call an ambulance. The people ran around wildly not knowing what to do or even what had just happened. Some people who were on the side of the road ran to the driver and then hurried to see if the passenger was okay. Obviously he wasn't.
When I heard the sirens of the police cars and ambulances, I knew it was time to go. I put the sniper rifle and the pistol into the guitar case that was specially made to hide them and closed it carefully.
I took one last look at the pandemonium and snickered. People were so funny when it came to death. Some people who weren't even involved in the incident were on their knees crying or were sitting on the sidewalk with blankets over them probably trying to miss work or school. I didn't know and honestly I didn't care.
I could have stayed there all day watching this but I had to get back home.
I put my sunglasses back on, picked up the guitar case and made my way to the stairs that lead off the roof to the main lobby. On the way down the stairs my cell phone went off.
"Dammit!" I growled as I ripped it out of my pocket and flipped it open.
"What the hell do you want? Look I already got him so quit nagging me!" I said impatiently.
"The boss wants to see you. Tonight. Ten thirty. 24 Moons Nightclub. " said an unfamiliar voice
"Whatever." I snapped and shut the phone angrily.
When I got to the lobby it was almost vacant. The people were probably outside "building bleachers" on the sidewalks. I walked to the door and I was right. All the lobby attendants were just standing there like they had never seen police or a smashed up car.
I slowly walked out of the door so as not to attract attention because although I probably looked like a stupid drop out teenager I knew the police would suspect anyone for a crime like this--even a "drop out" teenager.
I kept walking down the street trying not to be noticed when a car pulled up beside me. The window rolled down revealing two guys sitting inside. My two older brothers Mat and Reece.
"What are you guys doing here?" I sighed trying to act like I didn't want them here but in all actuality I did.
"We just came to pick up our darling younger sister, Nika." Matt laughed with a hint of sarcasm.
I smiled, opened the car door, and slid in with my "guitar case."
I lied down on the seats as they drove off.
"I am so ready to go home." I groaned, "I had to sit on that roof for 4 hours in the hot sun."
"Well, when we get home you still have to do your chores." Reece said plainly.
"You're joking right?" I asked.
"Hardly." he replied with a smirk on his face.
"You suck." I groaned quietly.
"What was that?" he asked.
"Nothing." I sighed.
"That's what I thought." he said.
I stuck my tongue out at the back of his seat, curled up, and tried to catch some Z's.
