Pug Problem Behaviors: Getting Control Of The Situation

By taking the time to learn how to handle Pug problem behaviors, you will make sure that your home is a peaceful one. A simple word such as no is very powerful when it comes to correcting Pug problem behaviors because your pets want nothing more than to make you happy.
You have finally been able to bring home your new Pug and you feel that you started out on the right track and you may very well be correct. You bought everything you needed such as food, a collar, a leash, a bed, potty training pads and a few toys along with everything else one would need for a dog. You may have also read up a lot on what to expect from your dog but something a lot of people forget to read up on are the Pug problem behaviors that they give their owners on occasion.

This is not to say that you did not do your job in preparing for your pet and this also does not mean your pet does not like you. Pug problem behaviors will come no matter how much your dog loves you and no matter how much you prepared for this little dog to come into your life. As long as you are the one maintaining control then all will be well and you will soon see that the Pug training works out and the problems have disappeared.

But while you do not want to hit your dog, you do want to scold them in a way that shows them who is the boss. So at the first moment of your little one showing signs of Pug problem behaviors, make sure that you look right at them and state the word no either once or a few times. While you do not want to yell at your dog or scream so loud you shatter glass, you do want to deepen your voice and make sure you say the word no very firm.

It cannot be stressed enough the importance of Pug training because you simply cannot let a dog think or feel that he or she runs the house in any way. By letting a dog feel that they are the master over the house and over you, you may be in for a rude awakening someday when your dog turns on you to bite you. And it will not be the fault of the dog because you allowed them to think they were in control over you instead of it being the other way around.

Most people seem to believe that you must hit or spank a dog in order to correct Pug problem behaviors and to get your point across but that is simply not the case. It is always wrong to hit an animal no matter what is taking place. And while it may seem a little too simple to just say no, it is effective as it is all about how you are saying something instead of what you are saying.

Your pet wants to please you and strives to make sure that you are happy so when your voice indicates that you are unpleased, he or she will get the point. Try to never let Pug problem behaviors go because they will grow into something that will get completely out of control and possibly too big for you to handle. Make sure that you try and correct a bad behavior as soon as it is displayed and every time it is displayed after that..
