2-You can then click the View tab and then click Show hidden files and folders under Hidden files and folders
3-Click OK to save the settings
4-After the hidden files settings, you need to locate the PST file. To do so, exit Outlook and click Start and then Run
5-In the Open box, you should type control and click User Accounts in Pick a category view
6-If no Pick a category view is visible, double-click Mail
7-Next, click Data File, Personal Folders and then its settings. Here, you need to note down the Filename box text
8-Click OK to close all the opened windows
9-After this, you should locate the tool. To do so, click Start, Search and then All Files and Folders
10-You then need to type Scanpst.exe in the All or part of the file name box so appearing
11-You can change the selection location in Look in box for your primary drive, usually C:
12-After the tool is located, you can then click it to start
13-You need to specify the file path and name in Enter the name of the file you want to scan box
14-After the tool completes repair process, click OK to complete
15-Open Outlook to check if the problem is resolved. If it persists or you cannot access the file, run PST Recovery software
