Protect Yourself from Cell Phone Radiation

Microwaves radiated by cell phones are everywhere! Are you conscious about that? Nowadays cell phones have become an indispensable device in our daily life. It is by no means a strange thing that these gadgets radiate microwaves that bring harm to our body.

According to statistics, there are some 1.9 billion cellular phone occupants all over the world, with a great part of the users in the U.S. alone. Studies show that radiation from cell phones will cause health problems like headaches, high blood pressure, brain tumors, cancer, Alzheimer’s, and so on. Yet it may take years and more studies before the required weight of evidence is established, and not every person is fully aware of its those harms.

Before it is too late, every cell phone user should take some steps to reduce radiation exposure to the minimum degree. Here are some guides:

1. Keep the exposure chance to the smallest. This means that you had better keep calls short, avoid useless contents in chatting. Even a two-minute call is able to cause to change the electrical status of the brain for up to one hour after the call.

Children should be limited to use cell phones.

It is better to keep the cell phone a distance from your body when not it’s not used. Some users customarily place their cell phones in pockets or belts while in use. The lower body area absorbs radiation more quickly than the head.

2. When you want to use headphones, choose wireless headsets rather than wired ones. The wire of the phone not only transmits cell phone radiation to the head but also works as an antenna which can attract EMFs (electromagnetic fields) from the neighborhood. If you are using the cell phone without a earphone, wait for the call to connect before putting it next to your ear.

3. When purchasing from cell phone wholesale sellers or department stores, choose those with lower SAR (Specific Absorption Rate). Find the SAR level in the manual book. The lower the value the better.

Don’t use cell phone in enclosed metal spaces such as cars or elevators—the radiation is stronger.
