Promoting Forex Affiliate Programs - What Options do You Have?

Many people are becoming interested in forex trading whether it's as a trader or as an affiliate marketer looking to promote various different products and services. However in this article I want to focus on the affiliate marketing side of things, and discuss the two different types of affiliate programs that you can promote within this niche.

Firstly you can simply promote basic forex products, as you would in any other niche. For example you could promote home study courses, ebooks and online courses that discuss profitable trading strategies, forex robots or regular membership services such as charting software or trading signals, for instance.

There is no shortage of products you can promote. However just like any other niche it pays to test out a particular product before you start promoting it. This is particular true in the forex niche because there is so much junk being sold online.

If you do promote these sub-standard products you will not only experience a high number of refunds, but you will also damage your reputation because people will soon wake up to the fact that you are selling them junk just to make a few more affiliate commissions.

The second type of affiliate program basically involves promoting forex brokers on a cost-per-lead basis. There are hundreds of different online forex brokers available and many of them will have their own affiliate program.

However it's worth noting that the ones that do will usually be based abroad because if they are based in the UK or the US, for example, they will usually have strict regulatory requirements and only qualified individuals will be able to become introducing brokers. So the major downside of promoting a forex broker with their own affiliate program is that you will usually have to promote this company to people outside of the US, which is usually where webmasters get most of their traffic and email subscribers from.

Therefore the best strategy is to either concentrate solely on promoting forex products and services so that your entire audience are potential buyers, or promote both forex brokers and forex products so you can still generate income from your US-based visitors.

Both of these types of affiliate programs are very profitable but I have always found it to be more profitable to promote the various different forex products and services that are available, particularly the high-end trading courses. However ultimately it's down to you to decide which type of affiliate program is going to generate the most revenue.
