This can be done to any gown to an extent. Dresses only have so much fabric in them to begin with. If your tailor needs to add fabric to your garment, there is a possibility that the material isn’t going to match or that you aren’t going to be able to stretch the gown to a point that it will fit your body size. Taking in a prom dress is less expensive than letting it out. This type of alteration can be done easily while letting out a prom dress can be difficult work for even the best tailor. Prom should be a fun time for you to enjoy and create fond memories. Don’t set the stage for a nightmare of prom dress alteration issues.

You can create an enjoyable and even fantastic evening from the beginning to end by choosing a dress in the right size. If you have to deal with changes then try to have them be alterations to make your dress smaller.
