Are you planning a princess tea party? If yes, there are a lot of things you should know of. One of the most beautiful themes, princess tea parties are indeed a great affair. Continue reading to know how you can plan the invitations, decorations, and the favors too!
A princess theme for a tea party is really famous and so, the most common. Little girls love dressing up as beautiful princesses, and calling all their friends over. There is an etiquette of course, but not as strict as the one for grown ups. This tea party is more 'pretty' than 'beautiful', if you know what I mean. Hosting a tea party for your daughter, would help her learn how to host one herself in future. Given below, are details pertaining to the invitations, decorations and a lot more.

Tea Party Invitations
To make any party perfect, first the invitations should be apt and captivating. Invitations shouldn't be a problem in case of a princess tea party, as you can let your creativity flow. Before decorating the invitation, add all the necessary details like the date, time, dress code etc. Do not use jargon or flowery language for these details as they can confuse your invitees. You can make use of that language to announce the theme in the invitation! Confused? Well, the idea is to send the invitation in the form of a scroll instead of the normal ones. Make use of the classic English language for making the invitation for example, 'Princess Catherine takes the pleasure of inviting you for her princess tea party, please join the celebration. Princess costumes welcome. Please let Queen know if you can attend!' You can also make the invitations on linen, add a picture of crown to each and send them in scented envelopes!

Tea Party Decorations
The decorations will actually depend on which princess theme your party is based. For example if you choose an Alice in Wonderland theme, make a small cardboard entrance to your house, decorate the party room with mismatched tea cups and saucers, small chairs and table etc. However, if you are not keeping any theme, you can simply decorate the party hall with lots of pink stuff like confetti, balloons, streamers etc. To give a royal look to the party hall, decorate the tables with fake fish bowl centerpieces surrounded with fake pearls. You could also keep a small treasure chest at one corner of the room or even display the precious fake pearls and glitter stones on small stands throughout the room. The princess can take the guests on a round showing off her wealth! Also decorate the staircases with fresh flower bouquets, and silk drapes. The dress of the princess is also very important, the dress of the little princess should be grand, something like a pink satin gown. Also make or buy a tiara for the host, you can make the party more exciting by making the princess enter only after all the guests have arrived!

Tea Party Food and Entertainment
For princess tea party food, you can have the normal tea party foods with some more delicacies. Tea, sandwiches and cream are a must, but besides these foods, you can also have pink frosted cookies, crown shaped cookies, cheeseballs, crab stuffed mushrooms, chips and dips, tuna salad, chicken salad etc. Serve chocolate dipped strawberries as dessert. Instead of normal tea, you can serve herbal tea or lemon iced tea which tastes good and is also healthy. As far as the princess tea party games are concerned, arrange games like princess trivia questions, a mini fashion show, treasure hunt etc. You can also have a ballroom dance party by spreading balloons all over the party hall and playing princess songs in the background, if the kids are a bit older.

You can distribute small chocolate boxes decorated with glitter and pink ribbons or photographs of the party as favors. These were some basic ideas, now add your creativity to them and get ready to throw the biggest tea party in town!
