Priceless Memories

A friendship, my longest, is fading away... no matter if we're right next to each other... the distance is too great, and memories can only attempt to fill it. Hope you like it!
I was always afraid of this,
Even though I knew it would come,
Because, here we are, with everything to miss,
Once again, Fate has intervened.

The gap is widening day by day,
And I find myself at a loss,
Knowing there's nothing to do or say,
It's fading away as we speak.

I never thought it'd happen so soon,
So quickly and so unexpectedly...
Leaving me to wonder and stare at the moon...
Our friendship is truly reaching its end.

We stack bricks between us,
Day by day, with every word...
I'm wondering if the 'new' you will make a fuss...
Before everything ends and it's too late.

I want to build a bridge to you,
But I know the 'new' you isn't worth it,
For memories are all I have to replace you...
If I ever managed it, that is.

All those fanciful dreams,
Where did they disappear off to?
For we're falling apart at the seams.
And these priceless memories are all I have.

Remember all the times I swore you were crazy?
Remember all the things you dragged me into?
Remember how we face the world, with everyone to see?
Remember how we swore we'd be together, until the end?

Do you remember how I claim you're insane?
Do you know hot deep a mark you made on my heart?
Because everyday the gap widens, I'm filled with pain,
Do you know how impossible it'll be to move on?

Every second ticks by, ever so quickly,
I don't want us to end like this...
But Fate has already decided for you and me,
Of, twin, I don't know what to do!

Two sides of a coin were we,
But we were sliced down the middle,
Leaving me with a priceless memory,
Of how much you meant to me.

Dedicated to my twin, Ali.

No matter if we end, you were still my bestest friend. ♥
Did you like the poem and what'd you think?
It was great and I'm sorry that it's ending...
I can relate perfectly... *sigh* I wish I didn't...
Eh... It's ok.
It's an ok poem, but whatever.
I love it and write more and I hope you guys can talk it out or something!
