Pretending

I show I'm strong
I may even think I am so
But inside, I think I am crumbling
I've hit an all time low

My hard exterior
Slowly begins to shatter
The rigid edges hurt
But it doesn't even matter

I've become numb
To everything around me
The words don't hurt me
At least from what others can see

I hide the pain
I force a fake smile
And if you've noticed
It's been fake for a while

I guess I'll go on
And only pretend
And make you think
This isn't the end
