The issuer company may ask a certain amount of money to be deposited in the account for prepaid credit card. As you load the initiation or activation money stated by the issuer company, your prepaid credit card will be activated.

If you have completed using the deposited amount, you can no longer use the prepaid credit card. Thus, with a prepaid credit card, you are not borrowing money from the issuer, rather you are using loaded funds from the account. For further use of the prepaid credit card, you are required to load funds into the account. Considering this, a person using prepaid credit cards never lands in credit card debt, which is a common outcome among the users of regular credit cards.

Prepaid credit cards are the best options for people with a bad credit. They do not affect the credit score. Another advantage of such cards is that there are no credit card bills, payment due, late or interest charges and over-the-limit fees. Prepaid credit cards allow the users to set spending limits, thus avoiding the risk of debt. Regarding the limitations of prepaid credit cards, there may be several fees for starting and maintaining the account. There can be fees each time the card holder deposits money into the account.
