Predator

Not my best I admit, but its okay. Vampires aren't all bad. They're like anything else in nature. They just can't be so easily explained...
The bitter sweet smell of blood lingers
There is no longer a burning in my veins
I look upon my prey
A young boy no older than I was
How sad
He could have lived a long life
Oh well that's the circle of life
The hunter and the hunteed
The predator and the prey
I lick my lips and sigh
Might as well get it over with
I pick up the boy and walk to where his papers say his house is
I ring the door bell and vanish
I was sure to cut his throat after i drank
I wait and see the horrified expression of his mother
Then the screaming begins and the father comes
A little girl walks out and I frown
They shouldn't let her see her brother dead
Well it's none of my business
I steal away into the night and leave them to their grieving
I feel sorry for them, but not entirely
Humans seem to think
That they are the only beings safe from nature
That they have nothing to fear
That they have no natural predator
Well maybe not
But they created their own predator
And they must pay
They created the vampies
And the vampires live off of blood
The predator
And the prey
